Explore the 2026 Hoosic River Run Course!

The Second Annual Hoosic River Run takes place on September 19th, featuring scenic and historic routes through North Adams and along the Hoosic River. Curious about what you’ll see along the way?

All three distances will pass through the MASS MoCA campus, alongside works by Mary Lum, James Turrell, Anselm Kiefer, and Franz West, before continuing through historic Heritage State Park.

The 5K route follows the beautiful berms of the South Branch of the Hoosic River, while the half marathon continues over Route 2 and crosses the Appalachian Trail twice. Along the way, half marathon runners will also pass the former home where Doris Day spent time with her husband, North Adams native Marty Melcher, before taking in views from Chenail's Farm on Pattison Road.
